I noticed there was a Dunkin’ nearby, but I wanted to support a local business instead. Below is my detailed review:

PROS:
• Very friendly staff.
• If you need a kosher menu, they have a separate section dedicated to kosher items. (My review is based solely on the regular menu, not the kosher offerings.)
• Ordered the French toast for my toddler, she didn’t like them, but I thought they were okay.

CONS:
• Overall, the food quality was lacking.
• I ordered a hot coffee. The menu listed light roast and dark roast options, but when I stated my preference to the cashier, she said there was only one roast available and couldn’t confirm which one it was. While not a major issue, the coffee I received wasn’t very good in taste. Wawa has better tasting brewed coffee.
• The bagels were noticeably smaller than Dunkin’ or traditional NY-style bagels, and they didn’t taste fresh or high quality. My egg and cheese bagel came with a processed-looking egg patty, similar to Dunkin’s, when I was expecting a freshly cooked egg.

Bottom line: I can’t recommend this place based on value and quality. I have higher expectations for authentic coffee and bagels, as well as real eggs in breakfast sandwiches. If you’re looking for a kosher menu, it may be worth checking out their offerings, but I personally won’t be returning.

I opened my bacon, egg, and cheese on a plain bagel and thought "this must be a joke". The egg and bacon didn't even cover both halves of the bagel. Flavor was basic - it was pretty much an overpriced frozen breakfast sandwich. I also got an everything bagel with cream cheese and caramel iced latte with oat milk. They only get one star because the everything bagel was decent and had a good amount of cream cheese. The latte was also terrible in regards to taste. It tasted like it didn't even have espresso and it was warm because there was barely any ice. Super disappointed in price and quality. Wil not be back.

The parking lot behind this strip has been pay-to-park to service Barn 34 since it opened. I’ve been parking there for 7 years and it was always well maintained, the gentleman that ran it (Mike) was always pleasant and he even swept and had treats for dogs and kids. Today I pulled in for breakfast and paid a new, very different gentleman. After paying he demanded I move my parked car to leave spaces for “people who want to buy bagels”. The “entrance” to Schmaegels is directly on Coastal Highway while these parking spots are along the back/what looks like a service entrance that is now lined with trash and other restaurant debris. So they can keep their prime bagel parking, I will happily walk a few blocks to not deal with rude parking attendants on my way to a delicious breakfast with great service - at Barn 34.
